An exciting opportunity has become available to join us as a Senior Accountant, who will be responsible for the Finance and Payroll function in Prague
Massive is currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to report to the UK based FC and take responsibility for the development and the day to day running of the Finance/Payroll function for the Prague Office.
Job Description
Initially utilising external providers and the London team for support, the Senior Accountant will be fully responsible for the Finance and Payroll function in the Prague office. Ensuring best practice on internal procedures, payroll agenda, accurate and timely meeting of all local tax, reporting and employee related compliance requirements. As well as partnering the London front office team to provide high calibre financial information.
Core duties
  • Payroll Agenda - Payroll Management ensuring strict compliance with all applicable CZ regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month end close for CZ
  • Review, preparation and lodgment of all tax returns (VAT, corporate etc) with the assistance of the external tax agent
  • Lead the CZ annual audits and preparation of the annual Financial Statements
  • Provide advice and recommendations to internal customers and stakeholders on pay and benefits.
  • AP, AR, cash management
  • Monthly control of Contractor invoices vs Timesheets
  • Develop and update the intranet - wiki ensuring current and relevant finance/payroll information are online available

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, finance or accounting. Post graduate professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA and others) will be highly regarded
  • Payroll calculation as well as related compliance filing experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Czech Labour Law
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with a broad defined framework
  • Analytical thinker and strong numerical aptitude.
